Plateau Gov Mourns Loss Of Jos Central Mosque’s Chief Imam

In a heartfelt statement, Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has extended his deepest condolences to the Muslim community following the death of Sheikh Lawal Adam, the esteemed Chief Imam of the Jos Central Mosque.

Governor Mutfwang, through a message delivered by Mr. Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs, expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Sheikh Adam, highlighting the irreplaceable void his demise has created. “The death of Sheikh Adam is not just a monumental loss to his family and the Muslim Ummah, but also to the entire state. His absence will be deeply felt,” the Governor stated.

Sheikh Adam was celebrated for his unwavering commitment to peace and his efforts to promote tolerance among his followers. Governor Mutfwang praised the late Imam’s moral counsel and contributions to fostering peaceful coexistence, describing his virtues of empathy, kindness, generosity, and benevolence as luminous examples that will continue to inspire even in his absence.

The Governor acknowledged Sheikh Adam’s relentless fight against moral decay and his dedication to instilling values of love, tolerance, and unity, particularly among the youth. He emphasized that Sheikh Adam’s legacy in building a spiritually upright society would endure.

Reflecting on the inevitability of death, Governor Mutfwang urged the community to strive towards leaving behind a legacy rooted in love, fairness, and justice, in alignment with divine commandments. “Death is a necessary end, but what matters is the legacy we leave behind. Sheikh Adam’s life was a testament to these values,” he said.

The Governor concluded by praying for the bereaved family and the entire Muslim Ummah, asking for divine strength to bear the irreplaceable loss of a remarkable leader.

The passing of Sheikh Lawal Adam marks a significant moment of mourning and reflection for the entire Plateau State, as the community comes together to honor the memory of a man dedicated to the principles of peace, love, and unity.
