Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, The Executive Governor of Plateau State has pledged his administration’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development, with a particular focus on improving the lives of rural communities across the state.

Governor Mutfwang made this clear during a bilateral meeting with the United Nations Deputy Secretary General, Her Excellency Amina Mohammed, at the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Speaking at the high-level session, Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the majority of Plateau’s population lives in rural areas, and their well-being remains central to his administration’s agenda. As part of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Presidential delegation to the event, Governor Mutfwang stressed the importance of his engagement with Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed in deepening Plateau State’s collaboration with the United Nations. He revealed that his administration aims to take advantage of the state’s unique climatic advantages to attract global investors to the peaceful city of Jos, ultimately driving economic growth.
