Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, highlighted the iPhone 16 series as being “engineered from scratch to fully leverage Apple Intelligence and its innovative features.”
The pre-order window opens this Friday, with the devices becoming available for purchase starting September 20.
Pricing for the iPhone 16 starts at $799, while the iPhone 16 Plus will set you back $899. The Pro model will be priced at $999, with the Pro Max topping out at $1,199.
These models are powered by the new A18 chip, with the Pro versions featuring an enhanced Pro chip. The iPhone 16 will feature a 6.1-inch screen, the Plus a 6.7-inch, and the Pro models will have slightly larger displays at 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.
Apple has also introduced two new buttons on the iPhone 16: the “Action Button” and “Camera Control” buttons. The “Action Button” allows users to perform multiple tasks with a single press, like starting a voice memo or launching the Calendar.
The “Camera Control” button offers quick access to the camera and lets users adjust camera settings by sliding a finger across it, as demonstrated during the event.
