As Plateau Specialist Hospital received a significant boost with the delivery of 100 new mattresses, hospital beds, and pillows. This contribution, courtesy of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, underscores his administration’s dedication to enhancing healthcare infrastructure in Plateau State. The hospital’s management expressed gratitude, noting that the equipment would significantly improve patient care and comfort, addressing longstanding deficiencies in their facilities.
Prof Yilgwan stated that the eight-man block housing junior doctors and house officers was demolished by a thunderstorm the night before. As we speak, they are all stranded and relocated, with their belongings destroyed.
The CMD praised Governor Mutfwang’s immediate intervention, stating, “We have informed His Excellency and in his usual magnanimity, he has provided a temporary abode for them while we have a comprehensive estimate of the problems, and then we submit for renovations.” SEMA has also been notified, and I can guarantee you that all hands are on deck to ensure that we address the issues. Unfortunately, this is a natural occurrence. No one has planned a budget for this.”
