During the meeting, the minister outlined the government’s dedication to policy changes aimed at improving the quality of life for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). These include measures to increase funding and ensure enhanced inclusion in government programs designed to uplift the lives of PWDs.

The policy reforms are expected to create a more enabling environment for people with disabilities, allowing them to thrive and contribute to society.

Yilwatda highlighted the importance of breaking barriers that have hindered the full participation of PWDs in various sectors. He reassured the community that the government is committed to fostering opportunities that will provide every Nigerian, irrespective of their abilities, the chance to succeed. “This administration will continue to put policies in place that will empower people with disabilities,” the minister stated.

The minister also called for continued dialogue and collaboration between the government and the disability community. He emphasized that meaningful progress could only be made through joint efforts to address the challenges faced by PWDs. Yilwatda encouraged the community to actively participate in shaping the policies that will lead to a more inclusive future.

With this renewed commitment from the federal government, the meeting has strengthened hopes for improved support systems for PWDs, ensuring they are not only included but empowered in the nation’s development process.
