NZEM BEROM: Celebration of Heritage, Diversity and Tradition

    One notable annual event that celebrates cultural heritage in Plateau State is the Nzem Berom Cultural Festival.

    Showcasing the rich diversity of The Berom culture through music, dance, art exhibitions, traditional cuisine, and more. It’s a fantastic opportunity for both locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the colorful tapestry of Berom heritage, fostering unity and appreciation for the country’s cultural identity.

    Nzem Berom 2024 will be an outstanding 11-day cultural festival inviting participants to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of world cultural heritage. Attendees can celebrate, promote, and explore the diverse traditions that comprise our collective heritage through a series of engaging activities such as art exhibitions, culinary experiences, dance performances, medical outreach, Muslim prayers, solemn assembly fasting and prayers, colloquium, VIP Banquet, and the grand festival to launch the Wurom Ase Wurom Legacy Trust Foundation.

    Scheduled to take place from Thursday the 25th of April to  Friday 17th May, 2024, this vibrant festival to rotate around various Local Government Councils of Plateau state which include, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos North and Jos South where the Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba to meet with the people.

    Sure, here’s a 10-day lineup for the 2024 Nzem Berom cultural event:

    Day 1: 25Th April, 2024: Riyom LGC/Aboro – The Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba to meet with the people.

    Day 2: 29Th April, 2024: Barkin Ladi LGC/Gwol – The Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba to meet with the people.

    Day 3: 2nd May, 2024: Jos North LGC – The Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba to meet with the people.

    Day 4: 6Th May, 2024: Jos South LGC – The Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba to meet with the people.

    Day 5: 7Th May, 2024: Medical Outreach at Vom Christian Hospital (VCH) Jos South Area of Plateau State.

    Day 6: 10Th May, 2024: Muslim Prayers

    Day 7: 13Th May, 2024: Solemn Assembly, Fasting and Prayers at the prestigious Ten Commandments Dwei Du.

    Day 8: 14Th May, 2024: Colloquium at Tamarald event center or Langfield leisure park, Rayfield Jos

    Day 9: 15Th May, 2024: Colloquium at Tamarald event center or Langfield leisure park, Rayfield Jos.

    Day 10: 16Th May, 2024: Colloquium at Tamarald event center or Langfield leisure park, Rayfield and VIP Banquet at the Gbong Gwom Jos Palace Jishe – Jos

    Day 11: 17Th May, 2024: Grand Festival and Launching of Wurom Legacy Trust Foundation at Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Entertainment for Guests and VIPs at Langfield Leisure Park Little Rayfield Jos.
