In light of the improved security situation in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, the Plateau State Government has further relaxed the curfew, effective today, Thursday, August 8, 2024. Residents are now permitted to move freely for their lawful activities from 12 noon to 6 pm daily until further notice.
The State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, in consultation with security agencies, has authorized this relaxation. He assured the public that the government will continue to make decisions in the best interest of the people.
Governor Mutfwang commended the public for their peaceful conduct during the curfew and appealed for continued cooperation with security agencies to ensure the safety and security of the state.
