Davido made this assertion during an interview with Nadine Graham from Billboard. When the interviewer referred to him as the leader of Afrobeats in the United States, Davido interrupted, stating that he leads “everywhere.”

Asserting his global leadership in Afrobeats, Davido expressed his desire for people to anticipate “Just good music.” He emphasized the widespread reach of his music, noting that even people in jail have heard his songs.

Additionally, Davido revealed that he is currently working on two albums, with one tailored for the African audience and the other for the American audience.

Furthermore, Davido shared insights into his favorite collaboration, highlighting “2 AM” with Casanova and Tory Lanez as his top pick. He praised the collaboration for seamlessly blending Canadian, Nigerian, and American cultures.
