Afrobeats superstar, Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema sparks controversy as he pledges a whooping N105M to a church in Benin.

Following his Saturday performance in Benin, the ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker visited a church where he worshiped during his boyhood days.

He appreciated the church for welcoming him with open arms, and praying for him consistently and for opening a shop for his mother when they lost their dad.

Rema donated a staggering N105 million naira to different projects in the church as a show of gratitude.

In his words:

“I’m not here to give myself any form of accolade; I’m here to give God the glory. I feel like to give back to church because the church has embraced me, has prayed for me.”
