Silas Patrick Dung Floors Other Candidates to Emerge Chairman of Jos South LGA

    In the just-concluded Jos South Local Government Area election, Honorable Silas Patrick Dung, the chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), secured an overwhelming victory over candidates from other political parties.

    Dung’s triumph comes as a significant boost for the PDP in Plateau State, reaffirming its stronghold in Jos South.

    According to the official results announced by Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak, chairman of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC), Silas Patrick Dung of the PDP secured 49,342 votes, outshining his closest rival from the Labour Party (LP), who secured 7,967 votes. The All Progressives Congress (APC) trailed with 7,050 votes, while other parties, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), recorded minimal support.

    • Registered voters: 282,181
    • Total accredited voters: 72,520
    • Total valid votes cast: 64,271
    • Total rejected votes: 1,640

I went to First Check My Name and other Family members own and it was like our names weren’t on the ballot list. i said if our Names aren’t there and Deny US our franchise, Problem will erupt there, but later, Someone called and told Me where She saw our Names, I then confirmed and Me My Family Members voted OUR Able Incoming Chairman. We were at our Polling Station up to after 11am and PLASIEC officials haven’t come but we make sure we endure to make our votes were casted.Thank GOD weren’t wasted. Congratulations to Him.
