In the Magboro area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, a 49-year-old woman named Victoria Idowu reportedly took her own life by hanging herself on a ceiling fan in her residence.

Her son made the tragic discovery upon returning from a church service on Sunday, prompting him to alert others.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, stated that no suicide note was found at the scene.

Law enforcement officers from the Ibafo Division were dispatched to investigate further and uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to Odutola, the son recounted finding his mother, Mrs. Idowu Victoria, hanging from the ceiling fan in her room upon his return from church.

The PPRO emphasized the importance of providing support to loved ones who may be struggling with mental health challenges.
