Two persons have been confirmed dead, and two others have been rescued alive after a two-storey building collapsed in Nomansland, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State.

Playloaded reports that the building collapsed around 2am on Thursday amidst a heavy downpour when the building collapsed.

It was gathered that the building collapsed due to overflow of the waterway which affected the building located close to the waterway.

The Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, said two persons had been rescued alive so far and taken to the hospital, while two were dead as the rescue operation continued.
