The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the death of 32-year-old Oluwaseun Shorinola, who committed suicide in the Kémta area of Abeokuta.

According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, Shorinola’s lifeless body was discovered by his wife hanging from a wall in their home at around 10 pm on Wednesday.

It is believed that his death may have been due to the ongoing economic hardship in the country.

The incident was reported to the Kémta Police Division by a family member, and a police team was sent to the scene, where they confirmed the suicide.

The family has declined an autopsy and opted to proceed with burial arrangements.
