A final-year student at Ebonyi State University, named Favour Ugwuka, tragically took her own life in her hostel on the Ishieke Campus.

Despite passing all her courses, she continuously struggled with one particular subject, where her lecturer allegedly vowed she would never succeed.

In a heart-wrenching video, her mother blamed the lecturer for her daughter’s death, expressing deep anguish and calling out for justice.

A fellow student revealed that Favour faced immense pressure as she repeatedly failed the course, even having to pay for an extra year to retake it, only to face failure again.

The disappointment of not finding her name on the recent NYSC shortlist added to her despair. Despite seeking help, she felt overwhelmed and desperate.

The Ebonyi State Police Command confirmed the incident, and inquiries are ongoing.

However, attempts to reach the university authorities for comment have been unsuccessful.
