The results, made public on Monday, August 12, were confirmed via a post on WAEC’s official X account.
According to Amos Dangut, Head of WAEC Nigeria, 1,685,889 candidates, representing 93.9% of those who registered, have received their results. Despite challenges posed by insecurity in certain areas, a total of 1,805,216 candidates sat for the examination.
Out of these, 1,301,949 candidates (72.9%) earned credits in five subjects, including both Mathematics and English.
This marks a 7.6% decline in performance compared to the 2023 WASSCE. Additionally, results for 215,267 candidates (11.92%) were withheld due to examination malpractice.
