The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.
The results, made public on Monday, August 12, were confirmed via a post on WAEC’s official X account.
According to Amos Dangut, Head of WAEC Nigeria, 1,685,889 candidates, representing 93.9% of those who registered, have received their results. Despite challenges posed by insecurity in certain areas, a total of 1,805,216 candidates sat for the examination.
Out of these, 1,301,949 candidates (72.9%) earned credits in five subjects, including both Mathematics and English.
